Camilla Kid Sweater

I decided to try out a sweater pattern. This is the first sweater I have ever made. I made mistakes along the way, but overall I’m happy with it. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I went with the larger sized pattern and now the sweater is too large for my kids to wear. Hopefully, one of them grows into soon enough!

Some Crochet

I’ve acquired a pretty large stash of colorful yarn and I thought that crochet would be a great way to bust my stash. I’ve always loved Sarah London’s designs and color choices so I went to her blog for inspiration and found this fun scarf pattern.

I created a scarf in these colors.

I decided to add a hood to the scarf.

Now we just need cooler weather. It’s been overcast and somewhat humid lately.

Transitions

Lots of transitions going on over here. First, another Transition in Color Angel Wrap. Two colors blended across the Angel Wrap. I really like these greens.

Another transition of note, my family and I are moving across the country from California to North Carolina. The actual move won’t take place until summer 2012 but there are many preparations for us to make in the meantime. This means that I will be partially closing up shop after the holidays. I might still be able to take a custom order here and there, but the majority of items will be ready to ship in my Etsy shop.

I’ve been working non-stop since 2008 so this will be a bit of a change for me. It’s been so much fun working with and meeting such wonderful people. I’m looking forward to continuing to do so the next few months and once again after we’ve settled in from our move.

Also, if you have any advice for someone who is relocating, feel free to share!
